Reflections of an Abbot

It's 5PM somewhere.

It's 5PM somewhere. People rushing out of their offices to finish their day off with a cold beer, or a wholesome dinner with their families, or a romantic dinner date with a special someone. It's 5PM somewhere. You can feel the city temperature beginning to drop as the day turns to night. Time to unwind.

Bright lights start to glow. Buildings start to look majestic in their skylights. Gray, dusty and beaten streets turn golden with the yellow colored streetlamps. Even the heavens undergo a change of color; from a vast ocean of blue, into fiery red-orange, then suddenly into an abbysmal black, littered with a hundred million tiny specks of starlight.

People start to think of the things they had no time of thinking about during the day. Then they start to smile, and ease out. Time to relieve themselves of the worries of the day. I wish every hour of everyday was 5PM.

Its 5PM somewhere. Suddenly life slows down.
